Vanessa started at IrrigationNZ in October 2020 based in Wellington. She is a strategic executive leader with over 20 years experience in the agriculture, banking and corporate sectors. Vanessa brings excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills having worked across multiple sectors, with a range of stakeholders, local and central government, and Iwi.

Previously Julie worked at Bank of New Zealand in a number of roles, including helping to manage a portfolio of irrigation schemes and more recently, leading a team of business managers in the small/medium enterprise space (SME).

Julie is looking forward to expanding her knowledge about the irrigation sector and meeting IrrigationNZ members and industry experts.

Building on his degree in horticultural science Stephen McNally has spent over 35 years working in various roles in the horticulture and agriculture sectors. He has been a crop management advisor specialising in greenhouse technology, a grower and exporter from his own South Auckland operation, an irrigation system design engineer and a water resources infrastructure consultant across NZ and Australia.

Lynn joins us as the Business Support Manager from October 2020 with experience in accounting, human resources, membership body services and contractor business operations. Having been with the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the New Zealand Law Society she brings a focus on delivering membership services and is keen to support members and IrrigationNZ in its journey going forward. She has a strong interest in agribusiness and looks forward to contributing to IrrigationNZ’s initiatives in addressing the challenges facing its members.

Ella has both a passion and understanding for agriculture in New Zealand as well as communicating stories, messages, scientific and technical information, and more. She enjoys learning about the agriculture industry both the land and its people.
