Industry Training Day
IrrigationNZ is putting on two subsidised industry training days this September. One in the North Island and one in the South Island to ensure as wide of a reach as possible. These days have a focus on the term Good Farming Practice (GFP) and it is intended to give people from roles such as field staff, designers and managers a clear understanding of the technologies available and the irrigation industries role in helping their clients achieve GFP.

9.45 am | The Importance of keeping water in the root zone |
10.00 am | Morning Tea |
10.20 am | Soil Moisture Monitoring- What sensor, where, how many, and installation requirements |
12:00 pm | Lunch |
12.45 pm | Big Data: on farm sensors and bringing that information together to make scheduling decisions. |

3.20 pm | Importance of system uniformity- good design and maintenance |

Cost: $99 per person, normally a training day for industry costs on average $500 per person
