The Certificate is designed for those working on pastoral farms who are or want to be the lead decision maker on irrigation.

Becoming an expert in managing irrigation will open a wide variety of job opportunities. With new environmental requirements around water management, irrigation specialists are in increasing demand.

At the end of this programme, you’ll be able to:

Determine the irrigation requirements for a property

Carry out effective irrigation scheduling

  • Make proactive decisions about the maintenance and replacement of irrigation equipment

Course details:

  • Course duration: 7 months. 3 assignments to be completed over the irrigation season. Estimated time commitment 5-6 hrs per month NZQA Level: 4
  • Note you will need to have access to an irrigated property, on which you can base the on-the-job evidence collection required for assessment.
  • Class Training dates: 3 and 4 October 2018, Lincoln
  • Cost: $2000 +GST
