Description

Allanah joined Irrigation New Zealand in 2017. She grew up on a sheep and cropping farm near Darfield and her family has been farming at Darfield for 150 years.

Allanah has a History and English Degree, and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Victoria University. Her previous background is in local government where she has worked in communications and policy. Most recently she worked for Selwyn District Council.

Allanah is looking forward to working with Irrigation New Zealand to help communicate the benefits of irrigation for the economy and for local communities, and to supporting the organisation’s policy work. If you have a positive story about irrigation and farming she would love to hear from you.
