Irrigation New Zealand invites members to participate in an interactive workshop focusing on Automated Control Systems for Schemes.

Automation is one of the key components to driving water use efficiency for schemes. Whether you're thinking about automation or well down the track with it, this workshop is a must. The interactive environment will allow questions to be answered as well as enable the sharing of valuable knowledge and experiences with others.

The Future for Automated Control Systems

Greg will draw on DHI's global experiences, within both irrigation and wider industries, taking a futures look at what could potentially be achieved. Essentially a forward thinking, no boundaries look at where things could head 30 years from now?

Dennis Jamieson - NIWA & Rob Maxwell - ANDAR Holdings Ltd

The Opportunities and Challenges of Automation in New Zealand

Dennis and Rob will draw from their practical NZ based scheme experiences with automated control systems. Analysing the opportunities automation creates alongside discussion around the challenges that lie ahead.

Experiences from the Coal Face

Robin Murphy - Chairman, Morven Glenavy Ikawai Irrigation Co

Robin will draw from his practical experiences of the on-going implementation of automation systems at Morven-Glenavy, taking a look at the drivers for change, the benefits they've realised and the challenges that lay ahead for automation.

Ben Curry - CEO, Rangitata Diversion Race Management Ltd (RDR)

Ben will draw from his practical experiences of the implementation of automation systems on the RDR, taking a look at the benefits of change and challenges that they've encountered along the way.

Brent Fraser - Switch Build Ltd

Brent will give an overview on the progress of automation in Central Otago schemes. Again outlining the benefits of change, the challenges they've encountered and future opportunities to be realised.
