Mary Flannery
I am seeking election to the board of Irrigation New Zealand and wish to assist in increasing opportunities for irrigation and therefore ensuring the benefits for all, economically, socially and environmentally.
I am passionate about the opportunity that irrigation gives to our irrigators the community and the economy of New Zealand.
My husband and I farm a property in Central Otago for which irrigation is vital. I understand the importance of this to our business. I am also a full time Associate Solicitor at Bodkins, Alexandra and have had governance experience at community Board, local Primary Health Organisation and Health Boards for the last 12 years and am currently a member of the southern District Health Board.
I bring all of the skills that I have developed from these rolls to the position of Board Director together with a passion to see the primary industry through irrigation moving forward for the benefit of the industry members, our communities and New Zealand’s economy.
