
Stephen McNally attained his Degree in Horticultural Science through Massey University in 1986. Since then he has been involved in agricultural engineering projects including the development of advanced controlled environment greenhouse systems for commercial vegetable and cut flower production and more recently the irrigation industry.
During the 90’s Stephen set up and operated a greenhouse research technology centre in South Auckland, which conducted mechanical systems testing and crop variety performance trials. In 2000 he moved to Blenheim where he worked in the viticulture industry as a sales engineer for irrigation and frost protection systems. This role developed into a national technical management role with Tyco Irrigation based in Wellington. Stephen currently works in a business management role with Opus International Consultants Ltd in Wellington. Through his work with Opus Stephen is maintaining a lead role in the evaluation and detailed design of irrigation water supply schemes.
