Mark Slee, together with his wife Devon, farms a 780ha dairy farm 25 km south of Ashburton on the Mayfield Hinds Irrigation Scheme.
The property runs two separate 800 cow units and includes a support block for young stock, supplement and winter grazing. Irrigation used on the property is a combination of centre pivots, border-dyke and K-line systems.
Mark is a director of RDRML (Rangitata Diversion Race Management Limited) which holds the consents and supplies water to 64,000 ha in Mid Canterbury He is also a director and vice chairman of the Mayfield Hinds Irrigation Scheme, one of three irrigation schemes supplied by RDRML from the Rangitata and Ashburton rivers.
